Character Type: Canon
Full Name:Ororo Munroe
Hair Color: White
Eye Color: Blue
Affiliation: Jean Grey School for Higher Learning
If there could be but one word to describe Ororo, it would be 'striking.' There is nothing ordinary about her appearance. In fact, the most mundane thing about her would be her bright white locks and clear-as-the-sea blue eyes. These features are in stark contrast to her mocha hued skin. Positively boring when held up against the aura that surrounds her.
She stands at a height formidable to most women and her added bearing can challenge most men. Even though the times of her being a Goddess are long past, she still holds herself as such. In part, due to the nature of her powers, she is poised and in control of herself at most times. Her physical appearance might be the first thing noticed, but her commanding presence and how she holds herself strong and sure, keep people intrigued.
Having never really learned the American attribute of modesty, when she isn't tucked into her battle suit, she prefers light, airy fabrics that leave little to the imagination. Despite her casual opinions on the human body her sensuality is undeniable. If asked to speculate on such things, she would attribute any natural charisma to her inherent bond with the world around her. Due to some of the more tumultuous aspects of her life right now, she's reverted back to a more wild style of dress and hair. Somehow, the Mohawk hairstyle that she left behind long ago just felt right. She keeps the tresses long and wild, with the sides shaved clean down to the skin. Her X-uniform has changed as well. She wears an all black body suit, with a cut-out on top of her chest. There are white accents along the boots and gloves with a white stylized 'x' along the bodice with gold trim along the top. Somewhat typical for her high-flying adventures, she keeps the long tails of black fabric that extend from her wrists to her hips, giving her some extra support while she flies. The overall effect is more edgy and primal.
Ororo has learned to hold those she cherishes closely. She relies on her instincts and intuition when it comes to judging people and once they've earned a place into her heart they remain there. She would gladly sacrifice herself to any one those she's placed under her protection.
Her very essence is one that is irrevocably linked to the world around her. Whether this has shaped her or was there from the beginning means nothing, as it affects every aspect of her decisions. She has complete confidence in herself and uses her gut instincts to guide her.
Developed at a young age for the purpose of not letting her powers become too destructive she has had to learn not to let her emotions get too out of control. It isn't a perfect system, as she is only human but unless something overly traumatic happens, she can control the small and petty ones that can affect others.
Ororo has a strict moral code that has always made her fit in with the X-men. She thinks of this moral code as her guiding light when making ethical decisions. As a general rule, she will not take a human life. She also tries to correct any imbalance that she causes when manipulating the elements, though this is born out of necessity as well. She believes in balance and harmony and that her purpose is to help to right the wrongs that are performed every day.
It is this moral code that she believes sets her apart from many others. She's always known that she was destined for greatness and her unwavering believe in the good all around is one of those things that makes her great.
Despite her commanding presence and general self-confidence she does not consider herself a born leader. It has taken some trial and error to perfect a style that she can be comfortable with. Ororo likes gaining the opinion of of those she works with to make a decision. This isn't due to a a second-guessing of her abilities but a desire to bring those she values into the process. The depth of her passion shows in everything she does, attracting those she leads like a bee to honey.
She doesn't have any powers that enhance her ability to be able to care for other people. She feels deeply for those who are suffering or are need and will do what she can within her power to correct that which is out of balance.
Ororo always carries a set of lock picks on her.
Storm's powers go much further than simple command and control of the elements. She is connected in a very intimate level with the forces at work in nature. These include (but aren't limited to) air, temperature, moisture, pressure, and electrical energy. With a mere thought she can bring about a 'second-sight' that allows her to see the environment around her a a series of patterns of force and energy. This includes organic structures like the human body. She can connect her consciousness with these very patterns and bend them to her will. As a result of her powers, her body naturally acclimates to various temperature extremes, protecting her from their effects.
At its very base, her powers can allow her to manipulate the weather and create anything that Mother Nature puts her own hand to. This includes (but isn't limited to) lightening, storms with rain and hail, tempest winds, snow and other effects of plummeting temperatures, thermal energy and much more. She can also exert her will over ocean currents and her precise control over air currents gives her the power of flight. Her control is so exact that even though these events are very much living entities of their right, she can set their pattern back to whence they came.
Her range is planetary but mostly she will use it to create local disturbances in the meteorologic patterns to suit her will. Her connection with the elements around her is so complete that she can use her own body as a conduit for the forces around her. This is displayed most readily in summoning lightening from her hands or other parts of her body for maximum control. She is so in tune with the environment around her that she can sense changes in the patterns. From something as small as a snowball being thrown at her or a jet making air waves thousands of miles away. Being so closely tied means that the weather is tuned to her emotions and will respond accordingly.
As a being able to communicate with the basest of elements, her body can adapt to any environment she is placed in. This includes other planets and outer space.
Ororo is very much mortal. She can be killed by any logical means including excessive blunt-force trauma, poisoning, etc.
Due to her early childhood trauma of being buried alive under rubble next to her mother's dead body she has a lifelong aversion to closed in spaces. She is claustrophobic and no amount of coaching or exercises has made this go away.
In many ways, she is a slave to her morals. When dealing with highly nefarious characters, her unwillingness to take lives limits the lines she is willing to cross. Very much the consciousness of any group, she bends to very few when her heart is set upon a path.
Being so closely linked with the elements, she must have a tight rein on her emotions at all times. This isn't to say that she doesn't feel and can't be emotional - it all comes with a price. This is something easier to control the older she has gotten, however there are some life events (like the death of a dear friend) that she will never be able to compartmentalize.
Despite her vast power, it takes great effort and control to disrupt and bend large multi-state and state-wide areas of weather to her will. When she manipulating the elements, she gets into a state of mind that leaves little room for distraction and the more complex her task, the more focused she needs to be. It will also take her several hours to acclimate to a new atmosphere (such as another planet) to be in tune enough with it to control the weather.
Other Special Skills/Abilities:
Ororo is a skilled thief, an ability that she will test on occasion to keep sharp. She is also a skilled hand-to-hand fighter, tactician, leader, warrior and teacher.
Storm is multi-lingual.
Avenger's Vs The X-Men
With the anticipated return of the potentially world ending threat of the Phoenix Force, the Avengers organized and planned an attack to attempt to defeat the Phoenix and take it's intended host, Hope, into protective custody. Believing that the Phoenix Force could reboot the mutant species, Cyclop's has the X-Men fight the Avengers to keep Hope with them, putting Storm in a difficult position of having to choose sides. Though she sided with the X-Men at the start of the conflict, Storm found her husband, and asked that he help her find a way to end the conflict, but T'Challa refused, and Storm replied that his pigheaded stubborness is the reason the couple were in marriage counseling. As the conflict escalated, a small team of X-Men traveled to Wakanda in an effort to locate Hope, and encountered a team of Avengers, which included the Black Panther. Both he and Storm engaged each other in combat. At the climax of their fight, after being angered by T'Challa actually having a contingency plan in place to combat his own wife, Storm told T'Challa he was a terrible husband and threw her wedding ring to the ground. It is revealed in Avengers vs. X-Men # 9 that the Black Panther, after a Phoenix empowered Namor attacked and almost destroyed Wakanda , has annulled his marriage to Storm. Despite this, Storm, still assisted the Avengers with rescuing their captured teammates, who were imprisoned by the Phoenix imbued Colossus and Magik, and continued to fight on their side to help defeat the Phoenix Five.
Back at the school in the wake of the Avengers vs X-men conflict, Storm returned to the school and was immediately hired as a teacher. However, when Beast brings in the teeenage versions of the original 5 x-Men, Kitty Pryde takes it upon herself to train and guide them and asks Storm to become the headmistress of the Jean Grey School in her stead and Ororo accepted.

Grr. Snikt. Bub. Snikt.
A couple of things!
Appearance wise, if I yanked out the personality bits, like with her charisma or her poise, you'd be below the required word count, so be sure to buff that up. You can add how she carries herself, what costume she prefers to wear, and the fact that she now has a mohawk at this point in time.
Weakness wise, also include how it may take her several hours to acclimate to the weather patterns on a foreign planet before she can successfully start to manipulate them.
